About Me

From Bartender to Designer: A Journey of Creativity and
People-Centered Design

Hi, I’m Ben Eichten, a passionate graphic designer currently studying at Ridgewater College and set to graduate in December 2025. My journey into the world of design may seem unconventional at first, but after 15 years working as a bartender, I realized that I wanted to tap into my creative side. I’ve always had an eye for aesthetics, whether it was curating the perfect atmosphere behind the bar or visualizing a compelling story through graphics.

Over the past few years, I’ve immersed myself in learning everything about graphic design—from mastering the basics of typography and color theory to creating dynamic digital experiences. My time in hospitality taught me the importance of understanding people and their needs, which translates directly into my design work. Whether it’s a logo, a website, or an ad campaign, I approach every project with a strong focus on the user experience and making sure the final product resonates with the target audience.

I’m excited to bring my diverse background and creative skills to new projects. Feel free to explore my portfolio, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you’d like to collaborate!
